Gary Shivers
Chief Executive Officer & President

Gary is the President and CEO of Navitas Lease Corp. He has over 25 years of experience in commercial and small business lending. Prior to forming Navitas in 2008, Gary was the President and Co-Founder of Marlin Business Services Corp. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from La Salle University where he earned dual majors in Finance and Marketing and later his MBA. Gary has served on the board of several business and non-profit organizations including Cadbury Continuing Care, Assurance One, and Marlin Business Bank.

Richard G. Pfaltzgraff, CFA, CTP
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Richard joined Navitas in 2010 from Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML) where he was a Director in the Global Markets and Investment Bank division. He has over 20 years of executive experience in finance, including working on the banking side of the business as well as the corporate. His transaction experience includes working with companies in the transportation, financial services, manufacturing, service, and hospitality industries. At BAML, Richard was initially focused on raising capital for client companies, while during the market down turn he managed a $3B portfolio of highly credit sensitive investments. Prior to working at BAML, he was a Managing Director at XL Capital responsible for originating and executing capital markets transactions for clients in North America, Latin America, and Europe. Before XL Capital, Richard was a Vice President at CapMAC / MBIA with a focus on providing capital to companies in the equipment finance and commercial asset sectors. He began his career in treasury and accounting in 1990 at Advanta Corp. & Subsidiaries. When he left Advanta to join CapMAC/MBIA he was the Division Treasurer for Advanta Business Services.. Richard is a CFA Charterholder and holds the Certified Treasury Professional designation. He graduated from Albright College with a BS in Business Administration and earned his MBA at La Salle University.

Laura Shivers
Senior Vice President

Laura co-founded Navitas Lease Corp. in September of 2008 after an extensive career which began in 1980 after her graduation from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Graduating in 1979 with a B.S. in Business Administration with a minor in Economics and French, she has over thirty years of financial services experience. She began her small-ticket leasing experience at Pactel Finance, a Pacific Telesis Telecommunications Captive. After Pactel, she spent nine years with AT&T Capital/CIT where she was the VP Sales & Operations of the Technology Finance Business Unit. Prior to starting Navitas Lease Corp., she was the Vice President of Sales for the Technology Finance Strategic Business Unit for De Lage Landen Financial Services.

Michael Bruman
Senior Vice President – Chief Credit Officer

Michael has over 20 years of experience in credit and operations. He is currently the Chief Credit Officer and Vice President of Navitas Lease Corp. Michael graduated from Rutgers University in 1990 with a B.S. in Business Economics and then graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a MBA in Corporate Finance in 1997. His career began at Sequa Credit Corporation in 1990 in credit underwriting and operation. Mike then went to AT&T Credit Corporation as a Credit Manager until 1995 when he was hired as a Credit Officer by Copelco Capital Corporation. While with Copelco, Mike relocated to Jacksonville, Fla. to helped Copelco grow their major account and technology groups. In 1997 Mike joined Captive Leasing Services to help build captive leasing companies for major manufacturers and distributors of office equipment where he remained until 1999. In 1999, The CIT Group acquired the management team of Captive Leasing Services to help CIT build a successful small ticket leasing company. Mike remained at The CIT Group until joining Navitas in 2010. He served in many capacities including the Chief Credit Officer of CIT Vendor Finance Group’s US operations.

Dwight Galloway
Senior Vice President Broker Division

Dwight joined Navitas in May 2011 as Sr. Vice President Broker Division of RLC Funding, a Division of Navitas Lease Corp. He began his career in equipment finance with a medical equipment manufacturer in 1979 and by 1984 had started his own firm that provided equipment financing to a wide range of industries. In 1988 Dwight sold his company to a national bank and continued as president of that leasing division, Republic Leasing Company, through 2002. The company became one of the primary funding sources for broker-lessors in the country, financing more than $2 billion in small to lower mid ticket transactions. From 2002-2007 Dwight continued as president of the same group which through merger had become Netbank Business Finance. From 2007-2010 he continued leading his team after it’s acquisition by LEAF Specialty Finance. Dwight graduated from Arkansas State University in 1972 with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and served as an Infantry officer until beginning his career in equipment finance.
